Break and Enter
On Tuesday August 2, 2022 police responded to a break and enter at 1259 Talbot Street during the early hours of the morning. Police located Dion Ford attempting to flee the area and after a short pursuit he was arrested. Dion is charged with break and enter with intent, possession of break and enter tools and obstruct police. He was transported to the St. Thomas Police station and released with a future court date. Dion was also wanted by London OPP detachment and was taken into custody after release.*12083
On Tuesday August 2, 2022 police were dispatched to an address on Regent for a mischief. Police were advised that a 29 year old female was inside a Dodge Caravan at the address and proceeded to break the rear drivers side passenger window. Police are continuing the investigation and are attempting to locate the female involved. *12103

On Monday August 1, 2022 just before midnight a vehicle was entered in a driveway on Erie Street. A male was observed by surveillance video entering the vehicle and taking property out of the vehicle. Police recognized the male and located him on August 3, 2022. Police arrested the 27 year old male and he was charged with theft under $5000 and fail to comply with probation order. The male was released with a future court date.
Shoplift / Fail to Remain collision
On Tuesday August 2, 2022 police were contacted by a store located at 1063 Talbot for a shoplifter. Police were advised that a male with average build, shaved head, black shirt and black cargo pants entered the store and grabbed a box of Pokemon cards and fled the store. The male entered a Grey Mazda and attempted to flee the area. The Mazda was involved in a collision in the parking lot and fled the area prior to police arrival. On Tuesday August 2, 2022 police were notified that a Catalytic Converter was removed from a Ford Rv parked in a secure lot on Talbot Street in the city of St. Thomas. Police are currently investigating the incident. *12115
On Wednesday August 3, 2022 while on community patrol police observed a 48 year old male operating a motor vehicle with unconfirmed insurance. The motor vehicle was stopped and police checks of the driver revealed he was wanted on a warrant with London Police Service and Elgin OPP. The driver was arrested and charged with several highway traffic offences and drive while disqualified. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days and he was transferred into the custody of the Elgin OPP. *12139
