Bike Theft

On Friday July 29, 2022 police responded to a bike theft on Metcalfe Street in the city of St. Thomas.  The victim reported that his bike was taken from his yard sometime over the past week.  The bike is described as a Ralleigh Mountain bike black frame with red and yellow decals, thick black tires.  If observed please call police at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers.  *11839

Theft

On Friday July 29, 2022 police attended an address on Hiawatha for a report of stolen tires.  Police were advised that sometime between July 20 and July 29 3 BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires with rims were taken from the side of the residence.  The victim believes the tires may have been taken on the night of the 20th.  If anyone has information relating to this incident please contact police.  *11868

Bike Theft

On Saturday July 30, 2022 police responded to a theft of a bike trailer from Talbot Street.  The victim advised that her red with black trim 2 seater bike trailer was taken from her porch sometime overnight. *11918

Bike Theft

On Saturday July 30, 2022 police on patrol observed a 54 year old male riding on a silver BMX bike with blue rims that had been reported stolen earlier in the week.  Police stopped the male and arrested him with possession of stolen property.  The male was charged with 1 count of possession of stolen property and 2 counts of failing to comply with probation order.  The male was release on a appearance notice.*11911

Impaired

On Saturday July 30, 2022 a observant citizen observed a vehicle make an awkward turn almost striking her vehicle while she waited at a red light at Highbury and Ron McNeil.  She then followed the vehicle and contacted police believing the operator may be under the influence of alcohol.  Police located the vehicle and spoke with the driver a 36 year old male.  Police arrested the driver after he failed a roadside screening device.  The male registered 3 times the legal limit and was charged with operating a conveyance with excess blood alcohol.  The male was released with a future court date. *11929

Threats

On July 21st, 2022 police were involved in an investigation that resulted in a 31 year old male arrested for mischief.  The investigation continued and as a result a further grounds for the charge of uttering threats has been established.  *11090

Break, Enter and Theft

Sometime overnight on Saturday July 30th, someone entered a place of worship on Redan Street where they stole a brown travel suitcase containing clothing, cash, jewelry and identification. There were no signs of forced entry and appears the property may have been left insecure. Anyone who may have witnessed someone in the area with a suitcase is asked to contact police. *11971

Mischief

An interior window of a downtown bank was smashed sometime between July 30th and August 1st. Police have requested video surveillance and the matter is under investigation.*12032

Domestic Dispute

On August 1st, police were called to a north end residence for a domestic dispute. Through investigation it was learned that the female suspect attended her ex partners residence where she is alleged to have intentionally damaged two vehicles. As a result a 37 year old female was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief and released with a future court date. *12056

Theft from Vehicle

In the early morning hours of August 1st, an unlocked vehicle was entered on Ross Street where someone stole the owner’s wallet. Video surveillance has been requested and the investigation continues. Police are reminding citizens to remove valuables, purses and wallets from your vehicle at night and lock your doors. *12062

Domestic Assault

In the afternoon of August 1st, police were called to a south end residence for a domestic dispute. As a result a 39 year old man was charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result. *12067

Warrant Arrest/Assault Police

On August 1st, police were called to a Talbot Street apartment building for reports of two unwanted persons. Upon police arrival police learned that one of the parties was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was placed under arrest and became combative and kicked an officer while being escorted to the police car. As a result, 29 year old Chynna Khrystel Nablo-Davis has been additionally charged with assault police. She was eventually processed and released from custody with a future court date. The officer did not require medical attention. *12070

Breach

Police attended a south end address for a bail condition compliance check where they found a male in breach of his release conditions by being at this address and in the company of female he was prohibited from being around due to charges before the courts. As a result, the male was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply. He was held in custody for a morning court appearance. *12042
