ICE Unit Makes Arrest
A fifty eight year old man was arrested Tuesday evening during a traffic stop on Talbot Street and charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography. The arrest comes after several months of investigation by multiple jurisdictions including the Internet Child Exploitation Unit at the St. Thomas Police Service. The man was alleged to be using free Wifi from several motels in southwestern Ontario to download the images. He was taken into custody without incident and later released on an Undertaking with Court date.
Break and Enter
St. Thomas Police are investigating after a detached garage on Talbot Street between First and Fairview Avenue was entered sometime Tuesday overnight. Several items including fishing tackle, tools and personal items were reported missing. Officers with the Alternative Response Unit on foot patrol in the downtown made an arrest on Talbot Street Wednesday around the noon hour. Officers observed a woman and recognized her as being wanted on a bench warrant. The warrant was issued after the woman failed to attend her scheduled court date to answer to previous charges. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing. Thirty eight year old Natasha Brown of St. Thomas was charged with two count Breach of Release Conditions and held for a court appearance.

The woman was wanted on a warrant for breaching her release conditions after she failed to attend her scheduled date to have her fingerprints taken. The woman was taken into custody without incident for processing and later released on an Appearance Notice for court.

A thirty six year old St. Thomas man was arrested Wednesday afternoon around 1 pm after officers on Community Patrol observed the man and recognized him as being wanted on a probation warrant. The warrant was issued after the man was alleged to have breached his court ordered release conditions. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where he was charged with one count Breach of Release and later released on an Appearance Notice for court.

A twenty four year old St. Thomas woman was arrested Wednesday evening around 6 pm after she turned herself in at the Colin McGregor Justice Building. The woman was wanted by police after she was alleged to have violated her court ordered release conditions to not associate or communicate with another female. She was taken into custody without incident for processing and charged one count Breach of Release Conditions. She was later released on an Appearance Notice for court.

Mischief
Police are investigating after a truck parked in the lot of a housing complex at 240 Burwell Road was damaged sometime Tuesday overnight. An unknown sharp object was used to damage the paint along both sides and rear of the truck. Police were called to a Talbot Street fast food restaurant after a man became agitated and broke an outdoor bench. The suspect left the area prior to police arrival however officers located him a short distance away. Twenty six year old Nicholas wall was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of Mischief Under $5000. He was released on an Appearance Notice for Court.
