Fraud
A thirty four year old London man was arrested in St. Thomas on a warrant yesterday around noon. The man was wanted in connection to a Fraud that took place back on May 11th when the man had attended a cheque cashing business on Talbot Street and received a partial payment on a cheque. The business called police after discovering the cheque had already been properly cashed into the man’s bank account using an online app where a picture of the cheque is sent through to the bank. The man then took the original cheque to the business to attempt to recieved funds a second time. As a result he is now charged with one count of Fraud Under $5000. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
Stolen Truck
Police are asking the public for help in locating a stolen truck. The truck was last seen in a parking lot on Progress Drive Tuesday night. The vehicle is described as a Gold, 2001, Ford F250 with silver and black rims. The truck had personalized licence plate GHAM attached to it at the time of the theft.
Breach
A twenty seven year old female was arrested on Flora Street last night around 10 pm. Officers observed the female walking with a thirty year old male towards the man’s apartment. The female is currently bound by a court order not to associate with the male or attend his residence. As a result the woman is now charged with two counts of Breach of Conditions. She was released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
