Drug Arrest

On Saturday June 2,  2018 St. Thomas Police arrested a 29 year old London woman for a slew of drug and fail to comply charges.  At approximately 11:30 am police received a call to attend the area of Alma and Edward Streets regarding a person possibly smoking illicit drugs inside a vehicle.  Police attended the area and located the London woman sitting in her vehicle alone.  It appeared to the officers that the  woman was partaking in illicit drug activity inside the vehicle.  She was subsequently arrested for possession of suspected methamphetamine and marihuana.  The woman was not being cooperative to the officers and gave them a false name.  The woman was transported to the police station for further investigation.  At this time they found further CDSA material hidden in her underclothing believed to be cocaine.   The woman also had numerous items of drug paraphernalia on her person as well as a modest quantity of cash.  The woman was also found to be on numerous court imposed conditions that prohibit her from possessing non prescribed drugs or paraphernalia.  She was also on a valid probation order and serving an intermittent sentence.  The woman was held for court and faces a myriad of charges that include possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose, fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance, obstruct police, and breach of probation.   She was remanded into custody.
