Downtown Talbot Street Disturbance leads to Assault

On Friday the 9th of November 2018, several people were waiting for a taxi in the area of Talbot Street in the west end.  The group were believed to be ringing apartment buzzers while waiting for the ride.  A resident of the apartment came downstairs to tell the group to move along and stop causing the disturbance.  A 22-year old London man then punched the 21 year old apartment resident in the face.  The two men did not know each other.  The assault was witnessed by others in the area resulting in the St. Thomas Police being called to the scene. The 22-year old London man was arrested at that location and charged with assault.  He now faces a court appearance to answer to the charge in December 2018.
