Do you recognize either of these vehicles captured on security video?
The first truck appears to be a four door, lighter coloured Ford truck with topper and the second a Dodge truck, four door, darker colour, no topper. Both trucks were recorded the night of thursday January 4th driving suspiciously around the property located at 220 Edward St. where the Stumps R Us business is located. On the video you can see the first truck back up to one of the two utility trailers owned by the business. A male gets out of the passenger seat and guides the driver to the hitch. Several attempts are made to connect the trailer to the truck however the thieves are unsuccessful and drive away. A short time later the second truck makes the exact same manuever. Again a male gets out of the passenger side and attempts to attach the trailer to the truck hitch. This time he is successful. The passenger gets back into the truck and the truck drives away. Police believe the same individuals are driving both trucks.
The trailer and contents have not been recovered at this time. Officers were able to secure security video from neighbouring businesses. Police are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the owners of these vehicles.
