A thirty nine year old male has survived an overdose after a citizen administered naloxone. Police were called Monday night around 7 pm to assist ambulance at a Talbot Street apartment after receiving a report of an accidental overdose. When emergency crews arrived on scene the man was awake. Three individuals were at the apartment consuming illicit drugs when the man became unconscious. A second person had a naloxone kit on hand and administered it to the unconscious male. The naloxone reversed the effects of the illicit drugs and the man regained consciousness. No charges were laid in accordance with the Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act which became law in May of 2017.
