Counterfeit Bills

Officers on Community Patrol were called to a bank on Talbot Street Wednesday after a man tried to pass a counterfeit fifty dollar bill to a teller.  The man took the bill and fled the area prior to police arrival.  ^13908

Warrant

Fifty two year old Tammy Cain was arrested Wednesday by security at the Elgin County Courthouse.  She had attended the location on an unrelated matter when they discovered she was wanted on a warrant for assault.  She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  She was held in custody for a bail court appearance.  ^13923

Wanted

Forty two year old Shawn Ralf of St. Thomas is wanted on a warrant for Theft Under $5000.  The warrant was issued after he was identified as the suspect recorded on security video stealing gas from a gas station.  ^13411

Wanted

Forty seven year old David Parsons of no fixed address is wanted by police.  A warrant was issued for his arrest after he was alleged to have been in possession of stolen property.  He is wanted for one count Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000.  ^10992

Warrant

Thirty two year old Cody Ferris was arrested Wednesday after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Building.  A bench warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to attend his scheduled court date to answer to several charges.  He was taken into custody without incident for processing and later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^13933

Assault

A seventy four year old St. Thomas man was arrested Wednesday following a disturbance.  Police were called to a dispute where the man is alleged to have assaulted his neighbour with a saw following an argument over trimming a tree.  The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was charged with Assault with a Weapon and Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date.
