Break and Enter

Warrant

Fifty one year old Shawn Hurl of St. Thomas was arrested Monday morning after Officers on Community Patrol recognized him as being wanted.  A warrant was issued for his arrest after he was alleged to have breached his court ordered release conditions.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was held in custody for a bail court appearance. ^13780

Warrant

A sixty four year old St. Thomas man was arrested Monday after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Building.  A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest after he was identified as the suspect wanted in connection to an alleged assault.  The man was taken into custody without incident for processing and charged with one count of assault.  He was later released on an Appearance Notice for court.

Arrest

Fifty year old Kim Piercy was arrested Monday after police were called to a disturbance.  Officers on Community Patrol located Piercy breaching her release conditions by attending a residence she is currently prohibited from.  Piercy swatted an officer with her purse during the arrest.  She was taken into custody and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  She was charged with Resist Arrest, Assault Police, Uttering Threats to Cause Damage to Property, Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm to a Person and two counts Breach of Release.  She was held in custody for a bail court appearance.  ^13786

Vehicle Entry

A vehicle parked on Wellington Street near Park Avenue was entered sometime Sunday night.  Some tools were reported stolen.  Please remember to lock your vehicle and take valuables inside. ^13788

Theft

Impaired Driving

A forty four year old man was arrested and charged with impaired driving Monday night.  Officers on Community Patrol responded to a report of a man slumped over his steering wheel at the intersection of Burwell and Edward St.  Police discovered the man was impaired and issued a Standard Field Sobriety Test.  The man performed poorly on the test and was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported to the Colin McGregor Building for an assessment by a Drug Recognition Expert Officer.  The man was deemed to be impaired by drug and charged with one count Operation While Impaired by Drug and Alcohol.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. The vehicle he was driving was impounded . ^13820
