Break and Enter

Vehicle Entry

A vehicle parked on Regent Street was entered sometime Tuesday overnight.  Loose change and a pair of binoculars were reported stolen.  Please remember to lock your vehicles and take valuables inside. ^13475

Mischief to Vehicle

Recovered Stolen Bike

A white beach cruiser bike reported stolen from the front porch of a home on Balfour Street Wednesday was later located by police outside a homeless shelter on Princess Avenue.  The bike was seized and returned to the rightful owner.  Police continue to investigate.  If you have any information about this theft please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22013479  Bike same as stock photo below.

Theft

Sexual Assault

A twenty eight year old London man was arrested Wednesday morning after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Building.  The man was wanted by police following an alleged historical sexual assault investigation conducted by Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Branch of the St. Thomas Police Services.  He was taken into custody without incident for processing and later released on an Appearance Notice for court. #13482

Theft

A thirty six year old  man of no fixed address was arrested Wednesday after officers on Community Patrol recognized him as being wanted.  The man had been identified as the suspect recorded on security video stealing an ebike charger.  He was taken into custody without incident a transported to the Colin McGregor Building.  During processing police seized break and enter tools from the man.  As a result he was charged with Theft Under $5000, Breach of Release and Possession of Break and Enter Tools.  He was held in custody for a bail court appearance. ^13511

Assault
