Break and Enters

A workshop located behind a house on Balaclava near Redan Street was broken into Monday night.  Thieves forced their way in through a man door taking a generator and fishing pole from the building.  The theft was interrupted by a neighbour who called out after seeing a suspicious man behind the houses.  The generator was left abandoned however the thief was last seen running away with the fishing pole.  If you have any information about this theft or know the whereabouts of the stolen property please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS Refer to Case #ST20004151

Warrant

Twenty one year old Christian Lipcic of St. Thomas was arrested Tuesday morning in London by the London Police Service.  Officers were dealing with Lipcic on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a bench warrant by St. Thomas Police.  The warrant was issued after Lipcic failed to attend several court dates to answer to four counts of assault and drug possession charges.  Lipcic was taken into custody without incident and later released on an Appearance Notice for Court.

Warrant

A thirty nine year old Southwold Township man was arrested Tuesday morning just after 8 am at the Elgin County Court House.  The man had attended the location on an unrelated matter when court security discovered he was wanted on a probation warrant after allegedly breaching his release conditions.  The man was held for a court appearance.

Warrant

Twenty two year old Anthony Csordas of St. Thomas was arrested Tuesday evening around 6 pm after he turned himself in.  Csordas was wanted on a warrant for Resist Arrest, Escape Lawful Custody, Use Stolen Credit Card x5, Possession of Stolen Property x5 and Breach of Release Conditions x11.  Csordas was later released on an Undertaking with court date.

Mischief

St Thomas police are investigating after the coin boxes at the self serve car wash on Sunset Drive were damaged sometime Monday night.  Thieves were not able to access any money but left one of the machines damaged.  If you saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS  Refer to Case #ST20004181

Warrant

Forty eight year old Shawn Hurl was arrested Tuesday night around 8 pm on Metcalfe Street.  Officers were dealing with an unrelated matter on the street when they observed Hurl and recognized him as being wanted on a probation warrant after he allegedly breached his release conditions.  Hurl was taken into custody and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where he was later released on an Undertaking with Court Date.

Beat Patrol

Officers on Beat Patrol early Wednesday morning found an insecure door at a Talbot Street building as they walked past businesses trying door handles around 1 am.  The building is currently vacant and was searched for unwanted trespassers by Police.  The door was temporarily secured while the property owner was contacted and instructed to secure the site.

Intoxicated In Public

A thirty six year old St. Thomas man was arrested for being intoxicated in public and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building to sober up early Wednesday morning around 2 am.  Police responded to a call from a concerned cab driver after the male fare became disoriented and ran from the cab after being dropped off.  Officers located the man in a nearby field and took him into custody without incident.  He was issued a fine under the Liquor Licence Act and later released.

Vehicle Entered

A vehicle parked on Elizabeth Street was entered sometime Monday night.  Nothing was taken however the interior had been rummaged through.  Please remember to lock your vehicles and take valuables inside.
