The St. Thomas police are investigating after a Lake Margaret area shed was broken into sometime over the last week. Thieves entered the lock shed and stole a 50″ Television and a 21 speed Raleigh Mountain Bike. Suspects are unknown at this time. If anyone has information in regards to this incident they are encouraged to contact the St. Thomas Police or Crime Stoppers.
54 Year Old St. Thomas Man Arrested for Mischief
A 54 year old St.Thomas man was arrested Saturday night in relation to a Mischief to a Talbot Street business. The man is alleged to have smashed the front window of the Talbot Street business. He was arrested and charged with Mischief to property. He was later released on a Promise to Appear and various conditions to abide by while he awaits his court appearance.
Impaired Driver Arrested and Charged
St. Thomas Police came upon a 27 year old female from Woodstock that had allegedly driven her car off the road on CASO Crossing early Sunday morning. Shortly after 4 am officers came upon a vehicle that had left the roadway nearby the police station. The driver, a 27 year old female from Woodstock was given a Roadside Screen Device and failed. She later provided breath samples resulting in readings two and a half times the legal limit. The female has been charged with Operation while impaired – 80 plus. After sobering up she was released with a future court date. Her vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and she faces an Administrative Driver’s License for a period of 90 days.
