45 year old Michael Hansen of St Thomas, has been charged with 2 counts of attempt break and enter to dwelling house, trespass by night, theft and breach of probation. The charges come as a result of several residential break and enters which occurred in the south end of the city in the early morning hours of July 25th. The St Thomas Police Property Crime Unit executed a search warrant at Hansen’s residence where some of the property was recovered.
Hansen has been remanded into custody as the police investigation continues.

Overnight of July 29th a red ebike was taken from a south end residence. The ebike was later recovered by an alert officer on patrol, located under a tarp behind a downtown business. Police are reviewing video and are continuing the investigation.

An officer on patrol located a man who was wanted on outstanding warrants. 46 year old Dale Filby, was arrested and also found to be in possession of Crystal Methamphetamine. He faces an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance and was held for court.

An officer patrolling the downtown core last evening located a male riding a bicycle without proper lighting. The male was stopped and found to be on pretrial release with a curfew of 11 pm. 53 year old Ronald Hodgson was arrested for failing to comply with release order and was held for morning court.

On July 29th, shortly before midnight an alert homeowner observed a male carrying a bike tire and appeared suspicious. Police were called and located the male who was wanted on several outstanding warrants. David Parsons 54, of St Thomas was arrested and has been released with a future court date.
