Break and Enter

Forty three year old Maureen Caron of St. Thomas was arrested early Saturday morning after Officers on Community Patrol responded to a break and enter at the Canadian Tire Store.  Police located a hole in the garden centre and discovered someone had gained entry to the store.  Officers located Caron inside during a search of the building.  She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building.  During processing police discovered Caron was wanted on a bench warrant after she failed to attend a previous court date.  She was charged with one count Break and Enter and held in custody for a bail court appearance. ^14458

Driver Suspended

A fifty six year old St. Thomas woman had her drivers license suspended for three days during a traffic stop Friday night.  Officers on Community Patrol were responding to a driving complaint when they located the vehicle and driver.  Police believed the woman was impaired by drug and administered a Standard Field Sobriety Test.  The woman performed poorly and as a result her license was suspended.  ^14463

Warrant

A thirty six year old St. Thomas woman was arrested Friday after she turned herself in at the Colin McGregor Building.  A warrant had been issued for her arrest after she was alleged to have failed to have been driving while under suspension.  She was taken into custody without incident for processing and later released and will appear in Provincial Offences Court at a later date to answer to the charges. ^14477

Breach

A forty four year old St Thomas man is wanted by police after he was alleged to have breached his release conditions by attending a residence he is currently prohibited from.  He is wanted for one count Breach of Release.  ^14496

Theft

Police are investigating after three catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles parked behind a dealership on the east end of Talbot Street near Manor Road.  The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between September 3rd – 7th.  If you have any information about this incident or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or www.stthomascrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22014427

Vehicle Entry

A vehicle parked in the lane way of a home on Elmina Street was entered sometime Friday night.  Some loose change was reported stolen.  Please remember to lock your vehicle and take valuables inside. ^14460

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

A grey Chevrolet Silverado truck reported stolen from Southwick Street in July has been recovered.  The vehicle was located abandoned and heavily damaged by Oneida Police on the Oneida Nation on the Thames.  The vehicle was towed to a compound nearby.  Police continue to investigate.  If you have any information about this incident please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or submit a tip online at www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22014506

Assault Police

Two youths were arrested for Mischief to Property and a third for Assault Police during a disturbance early Saturday morning.  Two sixteen year olds were taken into custody after a witness observed them break a headlight on a parked car.  A seventeen year old was arrested after punching an Officer in the back.  The Officer was trying to take the two sixteen year olds into custody at the time of the assault.  The youths were all transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing and later released into the custody of an adult on Appearance Notices for Youth Court. ^14526

Warrant

Officers on Community Patrol arrested a forty two year old St. Thomas man early Saturday morning.  Police were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a warrant.  The warrant was issued after he was alleged to have broken the front window of a house.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. ^14531
