Assault with a weapon/Impaired driver

On Friday September 7th, 2018 just before 1 pm a 22 year old male was arrested after throwing a rock at a local secondary school, where a school official was stuck. No injuries were received by the official. The male was subsequently arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and released with an upcoming court date.
During the early morning hours of Saturday September 8th, 2018 a 22 year old male was arrested for Impaired Driving after his vehicle was observed failing to negotiate a curve in the City’s northeast end. The vehicle ended up off the roadway. The male subsequently was returned to the police station where he was found to be almost 3 times the legal limit.
