The St Thomas Police Service has arrested five wanted people in the last 24 hours, all for various outstanding arrest warrants. Four of the parties were released from custody with future court dates while the fifth was turned over to the Sarnia Police Service to deal without outstanding matters.
Male Arrested For Sexual Offences
The Criminal Investigations Branch of the St Thomas Police have concluded an investigation into a sexual assault complaint. As a result, a 36 year old St Thomas man is facing charges of Sexual Assault, Invitation to Sexual Touching and Sexual Interference. The male was released from custody and will appear in St Thomas Court in June.
Domestic Assault
On May 10th, 2019 police responded to a north end residence for a report of a domestic incident. As a result, police are actively seeking a female suspect wanted for assault and fail to comply with probation and an arrest warrant is being sought.
Breach of Release
On May 10th, 2019, while police were investigating another matter, they located a female who was bound by a release order not to be within the City of St Thomas. As a result she was placed under arrest and transported to the St Thomas Police Station. The female was released from custody on a promise to appear and undertaking and will appear in a St Thomas Court in June.
