A thirty one year old St. Thomas woman was arrested yesterday around 4:30 pm at the Real Canadian Superstore after she tried to walk out with over six hundred dollars of stolen merchandise in her cart. Thanks to an alert citizen who called police from the location, officers were able to stop the theft and take the woman into custody. The woman was held in cells at the Colin McGregor Justice building overnight for court. She is facing charges of one count of Theft Under $5000 and one count of Breach of Reognizance.
