Another Busy Twenty Four Hours

For the second day in a row St. Thomas Police Officers have responded to over seventy call for service in a twenty four hour period.  Yesterday the service recorded seventy three incidents.
Warrants
A forty four year old St. Thomas woman was arrested yesterday morning around 9:30 am at the Elgin County Court House.  The woman had attended court on an unrelated matter when court security discovered she was wanted on a bench warrant.  The woman was taken into custody without incident and held for an appearance.  The warrant was issued after she failed to appear at her August court date to answer to several theft, fraud and breach charges.
A forty two year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday morning around 9 am on Talbot Street.  Officers were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a bench warrant.  The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Elgin County Court House for an appearance.  The warrant was issued after the man failed to appear at his June court date to answer to drug charges.
A thirty nine year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday morning around 9:30 am on Princess Avenue.  Officers were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered the man was wanted on a warrant by the London Police Service.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for transfer to London Police Headquarters.
A thirty year old London man wanted on a warrant by St. Thomas Police was arrested in London yesterday morning around 11 am.  Officers from the London Police Service were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered the warrant.  The man was taken into custody without incident and taken to London Police Headquarters for transfer to the Colin McGregor Justice Building.  The warrant was issued by STPS back in march after the man took a friends debit card and cashed several stolen cheques on the account.
A thirty five year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday just after the noon hour on Talbot Street.  Officers observed the man walking down the street and recognized him as being wanted on a probation warrant.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Elgin County Court House for an appearance.  The warrant was issued after the man breached his released conditions while at large in the community.
A fifty nine year old London man wanted on a bench warrant by St. Thomas Police was arrested yesterday evening around 8:30 pm in London.  Officers from the London Police Service were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered the warrant.  The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing.  He was later released on a Promise to Appear.  The warrant was issued after the man failed to appear at his March court date to answer to the charge of Theft.
A thirty two year old St. Thomas man was arrested early this morning around 1 am on Hiawatha Street.  Police were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a warrant by Windsor Police Service.  The man was taken into custody and police seized a small amount of ammunition and two suspected stolen debit cards.  The man is currently at large in the community on several different release orders by the courts with several conditions including a weapons/ammunition ban and orders not to possess any credit/debit card not in his own name.  As a result he was charged with an additional seven counts Breach of Release Conditions.  The man was held at the Colin McGregor Justice Building for court.
Police have issued a warrant for a forty one year old St. Thomas man after receiving information that he violated his court ordered release conditions.  The man is currently at large in the community with conditions not to attend a residence on Princess Street.  The man is alleged to have visited the location last night.  The man is charged one count Breach of Release Conditions.
Stolen Bicycles
Police are investigating after a Grey Super Cycle with green rims was stolen from the back yard of a home on Forest Avenue near Ross Street sometime between Monday September 9th and Wednesday September 11th.  The bike was locked at the time of the theft.  If you have any information about this theft or know the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS stthomascrimestoppers.ca  Refer to Case #ST19013762
