Theft

Police are investigating after a red and white TREK mountain bike was stolen from outside the Circle K Variety Store on Talbot  Street early Monday August 1st around 3 am.  The bike was left leaning against the wall for a short time while the owner was inside making a purchase.  If you have any information about this theft please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22012354

Mischief

Vehicle Entry

Theft

Thirty eight year old Jeremy Leblanc of no fixed address was arrested Sunday afternoon.  Leblanc was wanted by police after he was identified as the suspect recorded on security video stealing a battery charger from a mobility assist scooter parked outside of a homeless shelter on Princess Avenue.  Leblanc was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building.  A small quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine and Fentanyl was seized during processing.  As a result he was charged with Theft Under $5000, Breach of Release and two counts Drug Possession.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. ^12379

Break and Enter

Mischief

Stolen Plate

Police are investigating after a licence plate was stolen from a motorcycle parked behind a home on Hincks Street.  The plate is believed to have gone missing sometime in the last two week.  If you see licence plate 4F9C6 please contact STPS at519-631-1224 or www.stthomascrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22012428

Vehicle Entered

Stolen Bike

Impaired

A sixty one year old St. Thomas man was arrested and charged with impaired driving during a traffic stop Sunday night.  The man was taken into custody without incident after failing a roadside screening for alcohol.  He was transported to the Colin McGregor Building where further testing indicated he had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.  He was charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus.  He was later released on an Appearance Notice for court.  ^12451

Theft
